intuitive, embodied narration

“…Nothing is what it seems, and Brown is careful to select voices and tones that don't give away the unexpected reveals. A thoughtfully crafted performance.”

AudioFile Magazine

“I listened to the audiobook and highly recommend it. Dara Brown's narration is smooth as silk—her voice has such a calming, captivating tone that really suited the story's atmosphere. I enjoyed her performance so much, I'm already looking for more books she narrates.”

Goodreads reviewer

“Dara Brown did a great job creating mood, disorientation, and setting the tone for a slow burn suspense story…”

I'm a singer, actor, audiobook narrator, energy worker, and life-enjoyer.

I love storytelling in all its forms, and I believe that oral storytelling offers us a connection not only to each other, but to our ancestors.

I'm classically trained in acting and singing, and I endeavor to bring nuance and authenticity to my narration.

I studied opera at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and my musical experience ranges from opera to kids' music. In addition to voice work, I teach music.

I went to learn from and work with the best at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA. I love working with Shakespeare, and I'm so into language. Working with heightened text, verse, and poetry lights me up.
